One of our favorite wedding invitation ensembles was feature in the Spring/Summer issue of What’s Up Weddings magazine. The wedding took place at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club last fall and the couple chose a palette of blush, ivory and gold for their design and requested some hand done artistic elements for the ensemble. Gold was a prominent factor in the invitation so we gold foiled all the copy on the invitation and accessory cards and printed that on a hand watercolor washed background then mounted the invitation on an Ivory shimmer pocket. A sketch of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge was added to a rehearsal dinner card which was tucked into the pocket along with the other accessory cards. Laura Marr Printing was the press used to print everything and did an excellent job. The result was a very formal custom invitation which set the tone for the gorgeous wedding to follow. Thanks Maria and Aleks for the inspiration and experience of creating these invitations!
Cink Art supplied invitations, menus, and place cards for the first ever “ Cheers To You” dinner. A gathering of wedding industry venues and vendors at the beautiful and scenic Severn Inn in Annapolis, for a chance to relax and get to know each other. A great time was had by all. Thank you to all the vendor sponsors who made this dinner possible!
Cink Art recently had the privilege of working with Annapolis Wedding Blog to supply invitations, menus, signage and place cards for a photo shoot of a Fourth of July wedding. We loved working with a patriotic theme and used American flag images and ribbons to create this stationery. Thank you Annapolis Wedding Blog for letting us be apart of this and thank you to 1783 photography for the beautiful photos. Everything supplied by the vendors and models made for a great shoot! Be sure to check out theannapolisweddingblog.com for the full story.
We've been featured in The Washingtonian Bride and Groom Magazine! Kristen and Chuck wanted to show off their beautiful wedding venue, so a sketch of the Chesapeake Bay Hoopers Strait lighthouse was the star of their invitations. Congratulations Kristen and Chuck and thank you Washingtonian Bride and Groom for featuring us in this amazing magazine!

Jenna and Ben were a great couple to work with from their save the dates all the way through the items we created for the wedding day. Her colorful wedding palate and flower selection for the wedding was the inspiration for the invitation design which we hand painted with watercolors.
More and more our clients are wanting to designate the dress code for their wedding guests to follow on their invitations and we are constantly asked what the best way to do this. For many years the time of day of the wedding dictated the attire but these days when dress codes are more loose everywhere else it may be valuable to let your guests know how you expect them to dress. Usually the dress code is listed below the last line of the invitation in a smaller font size and as briefly as possible. The real question is how to convey exactly what you want your guests to wear. Wedding 411 magazine recently did an article on just this subject that we feel bears repeating. These dress codes pictured here for both women and men can really help you define the kind of attire you would like your guests to wear at your event. Thanks Wedding 411 for such detailed information!
One of the weddings we designed save the dates and day of items for was featured in the Spring/Summer 2018 of Baltimore Bride Magazine. Katie and Stephen Canterbury were married at the Evergreen Museum and Library in Baltimore, MD and we had the pleasure of creating a custom designed map for their save the dates and then drawing a sketch of the museum for a framed print that each of their guests signed at the wedding. The drawing of the museum was also used on the programs that we produced for the ceremony. It was exciting to draw the gorgeous museum building, one we have have long admired. Congratulations again to Katie & Stephen and thanks again for the opportunity to create something new!
